Sponsor a Student

Student bursaries for secondary school and university form the core of Tatwa Maahe's work.

Read more below, and if this is something you think you can offer, contact us to discuss further.

Secondary School Bursary

We support our Grade 10 and Grade 11 students by giving them approximately £310 per academic year which is the majority of their tuition fees.

Grade 12 students receive a bit more, around £350, as they have more extras (eg exam fees) to pay during this year.

These amounts do not cover the total tuition fees or any extras (stationary, uniform, books, mattresses, teachers fund etc), and the student’s family has to find the remainder to cover all costs for the academic year.  This is extremely challenging for the families as they struggle to find money, even to have a decent standard of living generally.

By donating £310 or £350, you would be giving a bright student an opportunity they would otherwise miss out on, and a chance to change the course of their life!

University Bursary

Depending on the University, a student has to pay between £400- £600 in tuition fees for an academic year.

TMET usually gives around £350 per student and provides them with a tablet at the start of their course to be able to access the learning materials they need to progress.

Students also have to pay between £300-£500 for accommodation, and any other living expenses (which the students have to pay for themselves).
